Jimmy Chen is Managing Partner of Amrop Hever China and has primary responsibility for the Hong Kong & Beijing Offices. He participates widely in advising and serving industrial clients, amongst others.
Before joining Amrop Hever Jimmy was Vice President of Aleris International Inc., reporting directly to the Chairman and CEO. He was this aluminum multinational's General Manager for Asia Pacific responsible for developing and implementing strategic growth initiatives there. Prior to that Jimmy was Global Business Vice President and General Manager, Static Control and also Vice President/General Manager, Asia Pacific Region for Noveon Inc., a leading global producer of specialty chemicals for consumer and industrial applications. Earlier in his career, he held progressive senior management positions at Dow Chemical, including Global Business Director of Display Technologies, Regional General Manager of Dow Agro Sciences in Asia, and various other core business management positions.
Jimmy brings to the search consulting industry 25 years experience of cross-cultural business leadership, general management, M&A, team and infrastructure building/restructuring in the global and Asia, especially China, commodity and specialty chemicals, electronics, agricultural and metal industries.
Jimmy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and a Master's Degree in Management and Technological Economics from the University of Sterling.
